This striking tiger illustration brings together a fascinating mix of artistic influences. Its clean, graphic aesthetic recalls Swiss Modernism, while the subject and pose evoke classic Japanese art. Originally found in Cold War-era Russian matchbook art, the design appears to have been part of a promotional campaign for a zoo. Part of a series inspired by Eastern European matchbook illustrations, this paint-by-number kit offers a unique study in art, history, and visual contrast.
